ECHINACEA
The Native Americans are credited with discovering the many uses of
Echinacea. They used all parts of the plant to treat everything from
poisonous bites to burns. They added the juice to water to sprinkle on
coals during traditional "sweats" taken for purification purposes. Used
as a blood purifier as well as an antibiotic. Proven immune system
stimulant; it increases white blood cells. It is useful to guard against
both viral and bacterial infections, but use fell by the wayside in the
1930's with the advent of new and improved anti-infective agents. If
